I had the good fortune of using Laurie as my buyer's agent for 2 different transactions that I made from out of province. The first was an investment property I bought in Nova Scotia's south shore in 2003. The second was the purchase of my current home and art studio in Halifax, in October 2008, which Laurie found for me while I was on a visit from my home in Regina, and looking to move to Halifax. Laurie took me to see a house in Halifax that I know I never would have picked out of the MLS listings on my own, but from getting to know me she thought it could be a good pick. I was pleasantly surprised to find that both the house and neighbourhood fit my needs perfectly, and I'm confident I've made an excellent investment. I'm incredibly happy with my current Halifax home/art studio and credit Laurie 100% with finding it for me.
Laurie's years of experience in real estate, solid knowledge of the Nova Scotian markets, and excellent negotiation skills make her a real asset in a province where it's relatively easy to become a Realtor. She is extremely helpful in all stages of a real estate purchase, and is personable and considerate. If you're visitng from out of province, she even has lots of great tips about places to see, stay and eat. If you're looking for an agent, I can't recommend Laurie highly enough, she consistently goes above and beyond what is expected of a Realtor in order to make her clients happy.

When I decided to sell my house, I met with several estate agents to decide who would fit my needs most closely in what was a very tight housing market. There was no doubt in my mind that Laurie Scott was a good fit with what I wanted from an estate agent. After a little while though, as I had found somewhere that I wanted to buy, I thought that I would try to sell the house myself as things were moving rather slowly. Laurie spoke with me about that decision earnestly and logically, with intelligence and knowledge about her profession, and understanding and empathy for me. I moved away from the area and Laurie did sell my house for me; she also arranged to have my empty house winterized, cleaned up etc. In short, Laurie went well above the normal requirements in taking very good care of my house in my absence, and of me at a distance. She kept in close contact with me at all times, and at no time whatsoever did I regret my decision to stay with her when my own worries might have clouded my vision. In fact, I did not worry at all. Laurie Scott was a "lucky click" for us! I was interested in Nova Scotia real estate, but had absolutely no contacts. Surfing different real estate sites, I happened across Laurie's page and liked her picture...we began a long distance e-mail correspondence. Really long, since we live in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
